RARE 1957 Jailhouse Rock Elvis Presley ORIGINAL Movie Poster Framed. A once in a lifetime find for those who have a close connection to the god of rock and roll. This is an authentic 1957 "Jailhouse Rock" official studio issued movie poster dispersed specifically for theatre showcasing.

It goes without saying that Original 1957 Jailhouse Rock Studio Release Theatrical Posters are a near impossible find, with at best one or two popping up in the resale world every couple years. This is the showstopper addition to any serious Presley fan's already established, or blossoming collection. As was standard practice back in the day, movie posters were disbursed to theaters by studios folded.

This explains the slight crease lines seen in this poster. Fold lines on vintage posters are merely an identifier of the poster's vintage status. This poster is not paper backed, it is in original form as issued from the studio - meaning, if you wish, the "imperfections" seen here. Though totally as to be expected of a vintage movie poster and in my opinion fitting of its vintage status (such as the crease/fold lines) CAN be reduced to the point that they are nearly invisible through the linen backing process. Linen backing can preserve a piece, and (given the durability of the piece is increased) actually bolster value.

The fold lines on this poster are slight, only visible when viewing close up. The first of three fold lines runs through the guitar bottom third, the second - just below Elvis's portrait above "MGM Presents, " the third - right above Elvis's eye.

There is light staining at the bottom left of the poster (see photo above). What makes this poster so visually stunning, in my mind, are its exquisite colors. The colors are vibrant, solid, and remarkably unfaded over time.

The illustrations within are incredibly detailed (the portrait of Elvis actually LOOKS like Elvis) and the still from the movie is incredibly sharp. In short, this poster is not just innately valuable given its finite rarity - it is, also, an undeniably beautiful work of art. This movie poster is framed. The frame is solid black metal. The frame is screw back, and is protected with a thick, white reinforced fiber facade.

The hanging wire is VERY secure. The cover on this frame is thick glass, not plastic or plexiglass. The back of the frame is signed "Happy Birthday Woody". I will get back to you promptly.
